Whitney Houston’s Estate is launching a fragrance inspired by the late singer’s signature style.
Pat Houston, Executor of the estate and Houston’s sister-in-law, has worked with perfumers to develop a scent inspired by the star’s personal fragrance collection.
The Whitney Houston Signature Fragrance is fruity and floral, with top notes of pear leaves, pink pepper and neroli.
The middle notes are night-blooming jasmine, Brazilian gardenia and ylang ylang, complemented with woody base notes of iris root and creamy musk.
The estate has partnered with e-commerce platform for bespoke fragrances Scent Beauty, Houston’s talent management company Primary Wave and perfumer Firmenich on the scent.
During her decades-spanning career, Houston became the most awarded artist of all time.
Nicknamed ‘the voice’, she had 11 Billboard number-ones, including ‘It’s Not Right But It’s OK’, ‘I’m Every Woman’ and ‘I Wanna Dance With Somebody’.
The star passed away ten years ago.

“We wanted to continue to bring her legacy to life through a scent that encompasses all that she accomplished.”
The fragrance is housed in a tall crystal shaped bottle, which “calls to mind the songstress’ stature”, and the cap’s design is a nod to all the trophies she has received.
Houston’s signature is featured on the purple labelling, which is said to have been the star’s favourite colour.
The Whitney Houston Signature Fragrance launches on scentbeauty.com in November.
A portion of the proceeds will go to The Whitney E. Houston Legacy Foundation, which helps young people rebuild their lives and self-esteem through grassroots programmes.
Last month, Scent Beauty announced it had signed an exclusive retail partnership with Perfumania and Fragrance Outlet for singer Dolly Parton’s signature fragrance.
