Pharmacy skin care brand Vichy (L'Oréal) is adding a new product to its popular Liftactiv skin care franchise. The new Liftactiv Advanced Filler is said to target “vertical wrinkles” on the face, which the brand defines as frown lines between the eyebrows, prominent nasolabial folds around the nose, and wrinkles around the mouth and lips.
The new treatment product contains two key actives – pure retinol which works to restore skin radiance and density, and 2% LR2412, described as a skin care complex which boosts cell renewal and plumps up the skin's natural support structure. First used in Lancôme’s (also L'Oréal owned) Visionnaire Advanced Skin Corrector in 2011, the LR2412 molecule is said to mimic the repairing ability of jasmonic acid, which is a substance that activates the healing of damaged tissue in plants. Along with these key actives, the formula also contains a blend of hyaluronic acid, glycerin and Vichy thermal spa water for added hydration.
According to the brand, the product was blind tested on 117 Brazilian women aged between 35-50 who had received at least two hyaluronic acid injections leading up to the study. Following regular use, 7/10 women said they were prepared to delay their next injection, while 9/10 reported that their face “looked more positive”.
Liftactiv Advanced Filler launches in March priced at £31.
