Filling and capping machinery specialist Albro Dico Gravfil is launching a new generation of machines to load scoops and spoons into containers of powder.

The new system employs a camera-guided robot, so providing rapid push-button changeover between different shapes and sizes of spoon and eliminating the size parts required for traditional bowl feeders and delivery chutes.

“Use of a vision system and robot also allows the machine to recognise and reject spoons that are the wrong type, wrong colour or broken,” points out ADG sales and marketing director Ian Hillaby. “In this way, there is quality control right at the final point of loading.”

In addition to handling spoons and scoops the machine is also able to pick and place giveaways and other promotions such as sachets, placing them in cans or jars at the same speed as the filling machine.
