Top of the pumps
JP Pumps, a division of Johnson Pump, has launched a line of rotary lobe pumps that are said to be suitable for transferring delicate shear-sensitive liquids. The TopWing range comprises eight models with connections ranging from 25mm to 100mm, enabling them to deliver capacities of up to 156 m3/h and a maximum pressure of up to 15 bar.
The pumps are designed to ensure optimum hygiene and capability according to JP Pumps, and incorporate a specially shaped Bi-wing rotor, which ensures smooth flow, low pulsation and high volumetric efficiency. The rotor design is also said to result in small clearances that create less backslip and a gentler treatment of shear sensitive liquids and soft particles.
Each pump is made from duplex stainless steel ensuring greater resistance to wear and less shaft deflection. A number of additional options are also available including a choice of seals such as O-ring, single mechanical or double mechanical and safety relief valves, which can be spring loaded or air loaded with air lift.
