French beauty brand Yves Rocher has been crowned beauty’s favourite brand in 2019.
The results, collated by online beauty platform Cosmetify, took into account more than 150 countries’ favourite beauty brands across six continents to calculate the results.
Yves Rocher was found to have, on average, more than two million searches every month, dwarfing the 860,000 for The Body Shop, which was named the UK’s favourite brand, and Clinique with 758,000.
Estée Lauder, Maybelline and Glossier also made the top ten.
Yves Rocher was named the favourite in more than 20 European nations, as well as countries across Africa and Asia, including Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan.
Cosmetify’s research also named the top performing beauty brands in 2019 – a title snatched by Huda Beauty.
This title took into account social media following, brand mentions, consumer interest on Google Trends and brand searches.
The brand’s empowering ethos and strong female role model are said to have helped it gain the top spot.
Meanwhile, Anastasia Beverly Hills followed in second place, ahead of MAC Cosmetics.
