The Ordinary has launched its debut body care range into the highly competitive beauty segment.

A hybrid emulsion, body serum and a moisturising lotion are included in the three-strong collection formulated with the brand’s hero ingredients salicylic acid and niacinamide.

It follows years of consumer demand for a body care line, Nicola Kilner, CEO and co-founder of The Ordinary, tells Cosmetics Business

“We have been aware that our community has been using The Ordinary products on their bodies,” says Kilner.

“It just made sense to formulate body care products that encourage people to treat their body’s skin the same way they treat their face,” Kilner continues.

But with body care booming on TikTok at the moment, is there room for another challenger?
