Estée Lauder was another superstar of 2022's top 50, which was topped this year by L'Oréal.
Lauder climbed 39.4% (ushering it into second place) and its BSI score was 87.0.
The past 12 months have been significant for the brand, as Stéphane de La Faverie, the Estée Lauder Companies’ Global Brand President for Estée Lauder and AERIN Beauty, tells Cosmetics Business: “In 2021, the Estée Lauder brand celebrated a milestone anniversary of 75 years,” he says. “Today, the brand is still inspired by the incredible legacy of Mrs Estée Lauder and her pioneering spirit of creativity, innovation and fearlessness.”
Key initiatives that would have enforced Estée Lauder’s brand strength last year, says de La Faverie, include the signing of poet and activist Amanda Gorman as its first Global Changemaker; the launch of Estée Lauder’s first Luxury Fragrance Collection; its exclusive partnership with the International Space Station (ISS) National Lab’s Sustainability Challenge: Beyond Plastics; and the launch of the Estée Lauder TikTok channel.
