SPC’s deputy editor, Emma Reinhold, has been crowned Johnson & Johnson Best Trade Beauty Journalist 2007 at a prestigious ceremony held at London’s Royal Institute of British Architects.
Reinhold’s piece on the future of skin care, which appeared in the June 2006 issue of SPC, was judged the best by a panel of experts, including dermatologist Dr Susan Mayou, Jo Elvin, editor of Glamour, and Stephen Quinn, publishing director of Vogue.
“I am thrilled with my award and it’s great to see the role that trade journalists play in the beauty industry recognised by Johnson & Johnson,” commented Reinhold.
The award marks a hat trick for Wilmington’s cosmetics group, who have beaten the competition to secure the prize every year since the Beauty Journalism Awards began in 2005. SPC’s Jo Allen scooped the trophy at the first ceremony and last year ECM’s Anne-Marie Kruse was named Trade Beauty Journalist of the Year.
