The Soil Association has this week announced the winners from its 2008 organic awards with Organic Origins and Neal’s Yard Remedies both receiving accolades for their organic products.

The Soil Association has this week announced the winners from its 2008 organic awards with Organic Origins and Neal’s Yard Remedies both receiving accolades for their organic products.

The awards were presented at the 12th Natural & Organic Products Annual Industry Awards at Chelsea Football Club, London with a record number of applicants vying for success in both the Organic Beauty and Bodycare Product categories.

Neal’s Yard Remedies won the Best Organic Facial Skincare product category with its White Tea Enriching Facial Mask while Origin’s Body Pampering Massage Oil took home the Best Organic Bodycare Product award. The Eselle Organics Baby Bottom Balm also gained recognition after triumphing in the Best Organic Babycare Product category.

Ethical living and environmental journalist Lucy Siegle presented the awards and said, “From pubs to body scrubs and on-trend summer dresses, there are credible alternatives to the horribly homogenised high street consumerist experience - alternatives that also leave a lighter footprint. This is brilliant news for a growing movement of organic consumers who like to shop ethically.”
