Sampar heals dry hands

French skin care brand Sampar Paris has launched a lifting treatment for the hands, Crème Premières Mains (€29 for 50ml), which is being sold through Sephora.

Hands are “traitors”, according to Sampar, giving away a person’s age much more than their face, due to the loss of subcutaneous fatty tissue. It is this fatty tissue that the cream claims to stimulate, along with preventing and lessening age spots and lessening the appearance of wrinkles.

The cream contains bdellium extract, a perfumed resin similar to myrrh, which is claimed to maintain skin tone and plump up the hands by stimulating ‘liporeparation’. It also has encapsulated hyaluronic acid, targeting deep wrinkles and, according to the company, guaranteeing an anti-wrinkle smoothing action over the long term.

Sampar, whose USP is that it targets the needs of Parisian women, was launched in 2004 by cosmetologist Patrick Sounigo.
