Safe transit gets compact

Air cushions offer a flexible solution for protective transit packaging. To make the creation of inflatable cushions more convenient for those with smaller work areas or decentralised work station packaging operations, Pregis Protective Packaging Europe has created an upgraded version of the compact model in its Aispeed range of void fill systems for air cushions. The Airspeed Smart is compact and portable, meaning that it can be easily moved to different areas as required. It also boasts quiet operation and is said to be easy to use.

New features include a timer function and a sensor that enables the machine to work with state of the art delivery systems, controlling the feeding of film from the overhead bin. Technical improvements have also enhanced seal quality to ensure fully inflated pillows for better cushionability.
