Sessions of York has introduced RCP64 as a new addition to its range of multi-task thermal transfer printers. This semi-automatic printer has been developed to apply labels to round containers and is ideal for low to medium volume producers. The RCP64 is said to provide high quality near edge thermal transfer print at a resolution of 300dpi. The automatic foil save function reduces the amount of wasted ribbon by ensuring that the thermal ribbon is used only for the print length and not for the full label. The machine features a powered bottle jig facility for fast and easy changeover. Printing, rewinding and applying are completed in a single operation. Text change through the thermal transfer printer applicator is instant and includes 17 inherent fonts in addition to the most common barcodes.
