Filorga has created a formula inspired by aesthetic medicine to offer a smoothing, lifting and brightening effect around the eye contour. Eyes-Absolute, which launches this month, is claimed to combine effective active ingredients such as a Botox-like tripeptide, low and high weight hyaluronic acid, green algae, silk tree and divine herb extracts, carcine, tetrapeptide 3, isoflavone extract of red clover, white pearls and crystalling soft focus agents to target six issues: wrinkles, sagging eyelides, dark circles and puffiness, thinning eyelashes and loss of radiance. Murad (Unilever) Professional Eye Lift Firming Treatment promises to deliver ‘younger-looking eyes in an instant’. Launched as the first in the brand’s new collection of professional-strength formulas for home use, the product includes: encapsulated hyaluronic acid spheres to attract moisture into the skin and create a ‘filled’ appearance; firming polymers and oat kernel extract to lift and tighten skin and myrtle extract; and vitamin E, zinc and amino acids to condition the skin. The treatment is designed to be used with eye pads and left to absorb for ten minutes. Commenting on the range, Tracey Wilmot, Director of Training and Education at Murad, tells Cosmetics Business: “Many people don’t have time to go to a beauty salon so they demand high performance products they can use at home that deliver similar results.”
