Rhodia aims for 40% growth by 2015
Eleven new business units unveiled
Chemical company Rhodia intends to increase its EBITDA to over €1bn within the next three to five years, an increase of 40% compared to expectations for 2010. To this end, Rhodia will focus on three key drivers: organic growth in promising areas and markets; innovation on products and processes; and external growth, following the company’s acquisition of Feixiang Chemicals in June.
In addition, chairman and ceo Jean-Pierre Clamadieu announced aims to “adjust and simplify” the company by turning Rhodia’s six existing enterprises into eleven global business units. These units comprise filter tow company Acetow, Aroma Performance, oxygenated solvents specialist Coatis, Eco Services, which specialises in sulphuric acid production, Energy Services, Engineering Plastics, Fibras, which develops polyamide based yarns, surfactants and polymer based solutions company Novecare, Polyamide & Intermediates, Rare Earth Systems and Silica.
