Household, health and personal care manufacturer Reckitt Benckiser is calling on inventors and potential partners to contact the company with ideas for new products and inventions. The company has relaunched its RB-Idealink online ‘innovation centre’ which it hopes will encourage more people to submit their ideas.
The RB-Idealink covers three areas of innovation – new technologies, new products and brand licensing – and now includes a most wanted area, which details the technologies and delivery systems the company is most interested in pursuing. Any interested party can submit their idea in one of seven languages, and Reckitt Benckiser promises a fast response and proper support if the company takes up the idea.
“We are committed to open innovation as a means of increasing solutions to consumer problems,” commented Philippe Poirier, global category group director, new technologies, at Reckitt Benckiser. “We want to hear from companies and inventors who feel they have the right intellectual property for products with a good fit to Reckitt Benckiser’s brands. RB-Idealink will be the gateway for all these enquiries. It is important that we are able to reach out to creative talent – wherever it is.”
