The sell-out race saw various members of the O&3 crew organise, participate in, and marshal the event, raising £21k for Pendragon Community Trust!
Speaking to O&3 Founder and Commercial Director, Thomas Kerfoot, the Prime Minister said "I haven’t done any exercise in a long time, I’ve been a little bit busy, but I’m going to try and do it under an hour."
Speaking about Pendragon Community Trust, Mr. Sunak expressed his support by saying: "Many of you will know Pendragon in particular. It is an absolutely extraordinary place.
"It does an incredible job for so many families in our community."
The Prime Minister helped create an electric atmosphere with an excited crowd for the runners, as they stood cheering on in support of the race which started and finished on Northallerton high street. The route was completed by people of all abilities and ages, and with cash-prizes at stake, participants raced around the course, which was a loop around North Yorkshire’s country roads.
The Prime Minister kept to his word and finished in 47 minutes and 52 seconds, coming in 203rd place.
O&3 and Charity causes go hand in hand. It’s been a tough 18-months for many with external events having a negative effect on us all, that’s why O&3 has stepped up its charitable endeavours across the business.
Over the past 12 months, some of the charities supported included the UK crew running a Salvation Army Christmas Present Appeal, while the Poland crew organised a Ukraine Appeal, alongside Christmas donations to support disadvantaged families, to name a few.
Despite Pendragon Community Trust being just one among the many charities backed by O&3 during the past year, it is one that gets special attention. The amazing Pendragon specialist sensory centre, based in Northallerton, is the only centre of its kind in the area and provides a fantastic range of experiences for children and adults with learning difficulties.
With smiles all-round, it was truly magical to see the community come together for the Northallerton 10k and support such an exceptional cause. Roll on next year!
