Prada Group has named Gianfranco D’Attis as CEO of the Prada brand.
D’Attis (pictured, right), who will take up his position on 2 January 2023, will be in charge of the strategic development of the Prada brand across all markets.
His appointment comes mere days after the announcement that Andrea Guerra would be recommended as CEO of Prada Group, replacing co-CEO Patrizio Bertelli.
It was revealed that Bertelli, in turn, would take up the position of Chair of Prada’s board of directors.
D'Attis has experience in the luxury sector with a focus on retail; his most recent role was as President for Christian Dior Americas.
Prada’s fragrance business has been licensed to the L’Oréal Luxe division since 2019 when the beauty giant took over the reins from Puig.
August saw the launch of Prada’s blockbuster scent Paradoxe, whose marketing is fronted by actress and former Harry Potter star Emma Watson, while, last year, the brand announced Academy Award-nominated actor Jake Gyllenhaal as the face of its Prada Luna Rossa Ocean fragrance.
