Poundland has revealed plans to extend its budget make-up range, after the retailer experienced phenomenal demand for its products and had to freight in extra stock.
The retailer, which launched its Make Up Gallery range in October, has confirmed it will be expanding the collection next April, ahead of the spring/summer 2015 season. The updated lines will 'reflect new trends while still keeping essential everyday items'.
So far the range, which includes over 100 products priced at £1 each, has proved most popular with shoppers in the North of England, which has topped the list for UK sales areas. The retailer has also observed that the majority of sales have taken place on Saturdays.
Bestselling products include Plump Up the Volume Volumising Mascara and the Pro Liquid Eyeliner. The collection also includes products for face, lips and nails.
CEO of Poundland, Jim McCarthy, said: “We are incredibly proud of the Make Up Gallery range and are amazed and delighted by the response we have had for this collection. We had no doubt that this range would be popular, it was a new and stylish range which offered fantastic value, but the reaction so far has exceeded all expectations and we’ve had to call in extra stock just to keep up!”
