PCHi, the cosmetics industry trade show, has been rescheduled by event organiser Reed Sinopharm Exhibitions, after being postponed due to the outbreak of the novel coronavirus.
The show was due to take place this month in Shanghai but, due to the outbreak of the 2019-nCoV virus, it has now been rescheduled to 2-4 June.
Peter Liu, PCHi Project Manager at Reed Sinopharm Exhibitions, said: “Rescheduling PCHi 2020 was not an easy decision.
“We would like to thank all who have expressed their understanding and support towards our event postponement, and look forward to the industry’s enduring support.”
The decision to move the event to June comes as the total number of confirmed infections balloon to 43,138 (as of 11 February), according to John Hopkins University.
Liu added: “The Chinese government has taken decisive steps and strong measures to rally the nation’s efforts in managing the epidemic, and to bring the situation under control.
“We will continue to work closely with the relevant government authorities and implement all necessary measures as advised by the local government.
“Every effort will also be made to assist our exhibitors, partners, and visitors in view of this postponement.”
