New from Paul Lippke Handels-GmbH is an entry level oxygen headspace analyser, the MOCON PAC CHECK Model 450 EC. Designed to displace residual oxygen in packaging headspace with nitrogen or other gas flushing, the new unit is described as a cost effective option for smaller companies.
According to Paul Lippke Handels-GmbH, the model can measure an oxygen concentration range from zero to 100% in packet types ranging from small blisters to large pouches. In addition, it allows both automatic and manual gas sampling.
The company’s Flo Smart technology ensures a proper flow of gas in the testing line, while a new one-button automatic instrument calibration feature, Cal-Smart, uses ambient air and advanced electronic controls to perform a two point calibration as opposed to more time consuming gas calibrations.
