Dutch speciality chemical company AkzoNobel has appointed Hartmut Schiemann as technical manager of Personal Care. Joining the company's Surface Chemistry EMEIA group. Schiemann's responsibilities will include overseeing personal care product development and technical support for AkzoNobel customers in Europe, the Middle East, India, and Africa as well as managing the personal care applications laboratory located at the company's Research and Technology Centre in India.
Schiemann will be based at the company's offices in Switzerland, and report directly to Magnus Linsten, director of Research, Development and Innovation.
Prior to joining AkzoNobel, Schiemann worked at Procter & Gamble in Darmstadt, Germany, as section head for the development of styling and speciality products.
