P&G chooses Enginuity

US company Enginuity PLM, the new software division of IMS, has entered into a license agreement with Procter & Gamble. P&G is to use Enginuity's software worldwide to help its R&D teams streamline global product development.

P&G's decision follows a multi-year selection process during which time the company evaluated a number of leading software packages, conducting surveys, focus groups with key users and a pilot study.

The Enginuity product development software (formerly FWS 7i) was developed to provide a collaborative product development platform combining a global product development knowledge repository and powerful search engine with robust formula CAD, packaging, regulatory management and product launch functionality. The idea is to enable companies to accelerate product innovation and achieve regulatory compliance while significantly reducing time to market, raw material costs and total cost of ownership.
