Procter & Gamble (P&G) has appointed Ashley McEvoy, a three-decade veteran of Johnson & Johnson (J&J) to its board of directors.
McEvoy most recently helmed J&J’s medical devices business under the title Executive Vice President, Worldwide Chairman of MedTech.
She stepped down in October to pursue other opportunities.
During her five years in the role, McEvoy led the business’ entrance into telehealth, robotics and digital surgery.
She previously held management roles across J&J’s vision care, Ethicon Products and McNeil Consumer Healthcare units.
P&G’s Chairman, President and CEO Jon Moeller said: “Ashley’s transformative leadership, track record of innovation and breadth of experience in serving consumers and growing markets will be an asset to P&G.
“Her expertise will further strengthen the capability of our board as we improve the lives of consumers around the world.”
McEvoy’s onboarding follows the addition of the World Wildlife Fund (WWF’s) Sheila Bonini and Rob Portman, a former US Senator, Congressman and US Trade Representative to P&G’s board in April.
McEvoy joins the Olay and Head & Shoulders maker with immediate effect.
