P&G acquires HDS Cosmetics

As part of its drive to grow its skin care category, Procter & Gamble has bought skin care company HDS Cosmetics from private equity firm, North Castle Partners, for an undisclosed sum. HDS Cosmetics is responsible for the manufacture and marketing of the skin care brand Doctor's Dermatologic Formula which includes products for anti-ageing, sun protection and problem skin.
