Momentive Performance Materials has introduced Silwet Hydrostable 68 superspreader, an advanced silicone surfactant that may help to enhance product performance for personal care formulations.

The new surfactant is an organo-modified siloxane that offers surface tension reduction and superspreading properties, while remaining stable in formulations ranging from pH6 to 8, a 25-fold expansion over the range offered by conventional surfactants.
