Once upon a time
Inter Parfums has chosen to focus solely on men for its launch of Paul Smith Story. The new fragrance will not be accompanied by a female scent for the time being as the company wants to spend at least a year getting the female version right.
Inspired by the British designer’s love of books, the bottle is a departure from previous Paul Smith offerings. The clear glass rectangular flacon is said to resemble a book, an image taken up by the carton, which has a front flap that opens like a book cover, while the fragrance’s name is printed in a typeface taken from an old-style Olivetti typewriter.
The fragrance was created by Natalie Gracia-Cetto of Givaudan and mixes floral and fruity notes with Haitian vetiver.
LAUNCH: Europe from September.
PRICES: €38 for 30ml edt, €46 for 50ml, €58 for 100ml. €46 for aftershave lotion, €24 for balm, €22 for shower gel, €20 for deodorant.
