Brand introduces ‘Arnie’, its Arnica Recovery Vehicle, which will tour sports events and festivals to promote its arnica-based products
Natural and organic brand Weleda has announced the launch of its Arnica Recovery Vehicle, due to tour the UK offering relief to those with tired muscles.
The van, dubbed ‘Arnie’, will visit sports events and festivals over the summer, offering massages to passers-by and showcasing the brand’s arnica products.
Sample sizes have been produced to give ‘outdoorsy’ consumers a convenient way of testing the products.
Weleda’s MD Jayn Sterland said: “We are excited that our arnica range is going from strength to strength and more people are turning to organic products for sports, discovering the benefits of this amazing plant which is famous for its natural anti-inflammatory properties.
It’s packed with effective active botanicals: over 150 active compounds have been found in arnica. It’s easy to see why so many sports professionals rely on it to keep themselves in tip top condition but arnica is equally useful for those of us that are not as fit, to ease those aches and pains.”
The van will start touring Keswick Mountain Festival from 9-11 June, offering race participants mini arnica massages at the finish line.
It will then travel to the Eroica Britannia Cycling Festival where it will stay from 16-18 June, before moving to the Eden Project Marathon in Cornall on 15 October.
Weleda’s arnica product line includes Arnica Muscle Soak, Arnica Sports Shower Gel and Arnica Massage Balm.
