In September, niche fragrance Lolita Lempicka (AmorePacific) will launch Elle l’Aime, a new feminine fragrance.
Created by Christine Nagel and Serge Majoullier of French fragrance house Mane, it is described as a warm floral oriental and features head notes of bergamot, neroli and lime; heart notes of coconut flower, jasmine and ylang ylang; and a base of sandalwood, vanilla and myrrh.
It comes in a tall golden bottle shaped like a totem pole, with both bottle and cap embossed with large, high relief characters spelling out the name Lolita Lempicka. The design is by Sylvie de France, manufactured by Pochet, with fixtures by Rexam. The outer packaging, meanwhile, is in embossed white card with the name picked out in gold lettering. The typography plays up the fact that Elle l’Aime is a pun – Elle, pronounced ‘L’, for Lolita, and l’Aime, pronounced ‘Lem’, for Lempicka. In French the phrase has several meanings – “she loves him”, “she loves her” or “she loves it”. The fragrance will be available in 40ml and 80ml edp concentration priced at €65 and €85 respectively, from selected perfumeries. The scent will be publicised by “a star”, according to the brand, though it is tight-lipped on who.
