Lancôme targets new generation of consumers with first Gen-Z fragrance fronted by Zendaya Coleman

This is the model's first marketing campaign for the brand after being signed earlier this year

Lancôme is targeting a new generation of customers with the launch of its latest fragrance, Idôle.

Earlier this year, the L'Oreal-owned brand signed former Disney TV star Zendaya Coleman as a brand ambassador in an effort to reach a wider demographic.

The 22-year-old will also front the scent’s marketing campaign.

The new musky chypre floral fragrance, is blended with isparta rose petal essence, centifolia rose, bergamot, pear and jasmine grandiflorum.

Coleman said: “I am thrilled to be the face if this new Lancôme fragrance.

“Idôle is a perfume that has meaning. I like the fact that it’s fresh and light.”

Meanwhile, Françoise Lehmann, Lancôme’s Global Brand President said the product was a “strategic” launch for the brand and that she was “excited” to be able to create a fragrance for a “new generation of women”.
