Japanese personal care company Kao Corporation has made two key changes to its US executive team in an effort to streamline its business.
Karen Frank, formerly the company’s General Manager, will serve as President of Mass Brands for the Americas and Europe, becoming the first woman to hold this senior position within Kao.
Meanwhile, Jesse Grisson, who has worked at the firm for 16 years, has been appointed Kao’s President of Operations for the Americas.
In his role he will oversee the leaders of the company’s supply chain, HR, IT and finance teams.
The duo will work closely to ensure the growth of Kao’s mass business, which includes beauty brands Jergens, John Frieda Hair Care and Bioré.
Kao also hopes the appointments will drive faster decision-making to promote this growth.
