Derived from the Camellia sinensis plant, native to East and Southeast Asia and the Indian subcontinent, it is obtained by mild and environmentally friendly CO2 extraction of the leaves.
It is also sustainable, being a byproduct of the manufacturing process of decaffeinated tea.
6614 Tea Wax is a soft, olive coloured wax with a medium low drop melting range of 60-66ºC that can be incorporated into any kind of formulation.
The distinctive scent and flavour can either be used or easily masked.
Also new is 2225 Phyto Wax, a blend of plant-based waxes and additives marketed as a natural vegan beeswax alternative.
