Dermalogica’s cult powder exfoliant, Daily Microfoliant, is now available as a refill pack.
The pack is made using 92% less plastic, 95.6% less oil and produces 95.7% fewer greenhouse gas emissions compared with the traditional Daily Microfoliant cannister, sifter and cap.
Launched in 2001, Daily Microfoliant is Dermalogica’s best-selling product with one sold every 45 seconds globally.
It can be used daily to achieve brighter, smoother skin, as it removes dulling surface debris.
The powder activates upon contact with water, releasing papain, salicylic acid and rice enzymes to polish the complexion.
The Daily Microfoliant Refill contains the same formula as the original cannister.
To refill, the user is advised to hold the cannister at arm’s length, then tightly grip the sifter and pull upwards until it pops off, before cutting the refill along the dotted line and pouring the contents into the original pack.
The refill bag is also recyclable, says Dermalogica.
