CAFEPA signs up to international fragrance association

Argentina’s trade association for the fragrance industry, CAFEPA (Camara Argentina de Fabricantes de Productos Aromaticos) has joined the International Fragrance Association (IFRA) as a full association member.

The CAFEPA membership comprises a mix of national and multinational companies including Saporiti, International Flavors & Fragrances, Symrise, Givaudan Argentina and Firmenich.

In addition to representing its membership at regional and international levels CAFEPA will gain access to IFRA information and services. It will also now be eligible for a seat on the forthcoming IFRA Latin America Regional Committee.

“We are very pleased to be joining IFRA at this time,” said Ricardo Daniel Lucadamo of Symrise and president of CAFEPA. “IFRA’s new structure has enabled us to join the global family of fragrance associations and ensure that our Argentine members will have a strong voice both at home and abroad.”

IFRA director general, Jean-Pierre Houri added: “I am delighted to welcome CAFEPA and its members to IFRA as full Association Members. This is an exciting time at IFRA with our global reorganisation taking hold and new members joining.”
