Marc Jacobs goes bang
Created by Givaudan, Bang opens with an explosion of pepper in the form of black, pink and white peppercorns. Elemi resinoid and benzoin then mix with vetiver, white moss and patchouli for a warm, sensual base.
The unusual bottle design is inspired by the work of artist John Chamberlain and takes the appearance of a regular bottle, bashed out of shape in the centre, with a debossed logo on the front and an embossed reversed imprint on the back plaque.
A naked Jacobs appears in the advertising, lying on a bed of mylar film covered only by a giant version of the bottle.
