Fashion house Marc Jacobs, well-known for its bold and beautiful fragrance packaging, has introduced another future classic to its scent portfolio. Visually, Decadence, the latest addition to the Coty-owned fragrance brand, is a nod to the Marc Jacobs fashion aesthetic, resembling the designer's classic handbag shape. The juice is housed in an emerald-green glass bottle and is topped with an arched, python-textured cap. A gold chain and silky black tassel complete the 'handbag' look.
The fragrance itself was developed by Firmenich master perfumer Annie Buzantian in collaboration with Marc Jacobs and Ann Gottlieb, and is described as a “sensual, woody scent” with top notes of Italian plum, golden saffron and iris; a bouquet of rich Bulgarian rose, lush orris and jasmine sambac at the heart; and a dry-down comprising amber, vetiver and warm papyrus wood.
The EdP is available in 30ml ($70), 50ml ($95) and 100ml ($120) sizes and is available from mid-September.
