Russian Cosmetics Market Forecast (2008-2012), a report by RNCOS, says that sales of colour cosmetics in the region have risen by nearly 11% in recent years, generating more than $1.5bn in 2008. Make-up consumption among Russian women is the highest in the European region, with approximately 80% of Russian women using make-up. The colour cosmetics segment has also been impacted far less than other C&T segments. This, says RNCOS, results from a favourable shift in consumer behaviour among mass and luxury product categories.
