After more than three decades as a staple in make-up bags, kits and film sets, MAC Cosmetics has reimagined one of its most iconic products: the Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation.

First launched in 1992, the beloved formula has been completely reformulated, repackaged and, according to MAC, re-engineered for the next generation of beauty consumers.

But as the brand ushers in this new chapter, it is met with both excitement and concern from its devoted fan base.

Why now?

“Studio Fix Powder Foundation has been a MAC icon since 1992,” Teny Kureghian, Global Head of Product Development at MAC, told Cosmetics Business

“While much about the formula has stayed the same over the years, the world of make-up has evolved from technology and ingredients to the way people wear and shop for [cosmetics].

“With that evolution in mind, we knew it was time to revisit the formula.”
