UK cosmetics brand Lush has scooped top honours for the second year running at the RSPCA Good Business Awards, held at a glittering ceremony in London last night.
The brand took the winning prize in the cosmetics category for its outstanding commitment for achieving higher standards for animal welfare.
Judge Jo Fairley commented: “I was very impressed with what Lush have been doing for animal welfare. They didn’t rest on their laurels after winning last year and really deserve this award.”
Other cosmetics companies recognised on the night included Marks & Spencer, which was named most progressive company 2007 in the cosmetics category, while Urban Decay and Liz Earle Naturally Active Skincare were both awarded a highly commended for their policies and commitment to improving animal welfare.
