L’Oréal has launched a new device promising to mimic micro-treatments in the comfort of people’s homes and without the down time of in-clinic aesthetic therapies.

The Lancôme Rénergie Nano Resurfacer 400-Booster will go on sale today at Boots and lancome.co.uk with an RRP (recommended retail price) of £250.

Designed to be used with the brand’s Rénergie H.C.F. Triple Serum, the resurfacer promises to maximise the efficacy of the product through patented nano chip technology.

Nearly 500 nanotips are present on the tip of the wand-style gadget, which was first teased at Paris’ Viva Technology trade show last year.

It delivers micro-channels on the skin, improving its ability to absorb the active ingredients while being non-invasive and pain-free.

Paul Tartrat, Beauty Tech and Innovation Director at Lancôme International, told Cosmetics Business the tech is inspired by microneedling treatments.

“The global rise of aesthetic procedures, particularly micro-treatments, inspired us to bring these experiences to the comfort of our consumers' homes,” said Tartrat ahead of the launch.
