Linx Printing Technologies has created a new ink jet printer developed for pigmented ink types.
The Linx 6900 Spectrum Continuous Ink Jet (CIJ) printer is designed to provide simple and reliable operation according to the company, while delivering high contrast coding with pigmented inks. The ink system and print head are designed to minimise the need for maintenance, and the printer can print up to five lines of text, barcode and graphics with a range of coloured high opacity inks.
The new model offers print quality at line speeds of 7.2m per second and key features include an intuitive colour user interface with a WYSIWYG display and menu system.
The printing specialist has also introduced a number of new pigmented inks, said to offer improved drying times to enable faster line speeds. These include the Linx White pigmented ink 1060 which delivers high contrast opaque print on dark coloured products and is suitable for use with Linx’s new 6900 CIJ printer.
