Beauty mogul Kylie Jenner’s immersive UK activation promises to bring her second fragrance to life for shoppers

Kylie Cosmetics is launching a pop-up in Manchester, UK, to showcase the brand’s new scent, Cosmic 2.0.

The activation will feature an “out of this world” photobooth that gives “aura readings”, reflecting people’s personalities and energies.

Pink sprinkle doughnuts and free samples of the perfume will also be up for grabs.

A free limited edition gift will be handed out to the first 50 people at the event, which is taking place outside the city’s Boots store on Market Street on March 29 between 11am and 3pm.

Shoppers who buy any Kylie Jenner Cosmic 100ml fragrance at the retailer will also receive a free gift.

Kylie Jenner unveiled Cosmic 2.0 in February as a follow-up to the brand’s debut scent Cosmic which launched in 2024.

The newest fragrance is a floral amber that opens with pear accord and pink pepper essence, then moves to a heart of vanilla orchid accord and lavender essence.

Inspired by the first light breaking through the horizon, the fragrance can be layered with the original Cosmic, which has sweet, warm and floral scent notes.

Jenner founded Kylie Cosmetics in 2015.

Coty acquired a 51% stake in the make-up company in 2019 and is a co-owner of the business.

The beauty giant this week sold its stake in SKKN by Kim, the beauty label founded by Jenner’s sister, Kim Kardashian.

SKKN by Kim was founded in 2022 following the closure of Kardashian’s cosmetics and fragrance lines KKW Beauty and KKW Fragrance in 2021 and 2022 respectively as part of a rebrand.

Coty acquired 20% of KKW Beauty in 2021 for US$200m.

The entrepreneur and reality star’s shapewear company Skims bought the beauty brand’s stake along with Kardashian’s 80% majority stake

Her clothing, cosmetics, skin care and fragrance businesses will now be housed together under Skims.
