US ingredients manufacturing company Kemin has appointed Susan Oh as Global President of its personal care business unit.
The company, based in Des Moines in Iowa, said Oh’s responsibilities will include providing leadership to team members, enhancing business development and increasing the market segment, with the overall aim ot putting Kemin in a strong position in the cosmetic and personal care industry.

Oh joins Kemin with many years of experience in the personal care industry. She previously worked at Roche Vitamins/DSM Nutritional Products, in Hong Kong, Singapore and the US for more than 15 years. She is also said to have played an “integral role” in the acquisition of oral healthcare technology company NovaMin Technology by GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) in 2010 – a deal worth $135m. At NovaMin, Oh held the position of Director of Business Development and Sales. After the GSK acquisition, Oh went on to join the company in Global Project Management for new business development.
Prior to joining Kemin, Oh worked as Global Account Director of FONA International, a flavours manufacturer for the food and beverage industry. Kemin, which specialises in ingredients manufacturing, produces approximately 500 specialty ingredients across a number of categories including beauty, health and nutrition. The company is family-owned and operated, and has nearly 2,000 employees.
A truly global player, Kemin’s operations span 90 countries with facilities located in the US, China, India, Italy, Singapore and South Africa, among other regions.
