Kate Williams, Creative Perfumer at Seven Scent, has been named President of the British Society of Perfumers (BSP).
Williams plans to work on a number of initiatives proposed by members including championing the BSP’s annual Perfumery Excellence Awards. Also in the pipeline is the development of BSP accredited fragrance training sessions and educational workshops.
Williams said: “I am very proud to represent such a creative and inspiring industry. The fragrances we create are enjoyed and experienced by consumers around the world every day; my aim is to raise the BSP’s profile and promote what we do in a positive way."
Williams takes over from former President Peter Whipps who remains a member of the council.
