As an extension to its Series B funding round, US beauty brand Julep Beauty Incorporated has raised another $5m in venture capital funds. This latest amount follows the $10.3m raised in its Series B round of financing led by venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz and returning investor Maveron, in January this year. According to the company, this latest round of financing will go towards furthering the brand’s efforts in e-commerce and mobile.
Julep was founded by Jane Park, a former Starbucks executive, as a multichannel beauty brand driven by a strong presence in digital and social media. The brand is available via QVC and Sephora in the US, and recently launched a beauty subscription service named Julep Mavens.
