Jimmy Choo to venture into fragrance

Designer brand Jimmy Choo, famous for its feminine, high-heeled shoes, and a subsidiary of Inter Parfums Inc, Inter Parfums SA, have signed a 12-year global licence agreement for the creation, development and distribution of fragrances under the Jimmy Choo brand, commencing January 2010.

Since 1996, under the presidency of renowned businesswoman Tamara Mellon, Jimmy Choo has grown to encompass a complete luxury lifestyle accessory brand. And Mellon sees fragrance as the next logical step.

“It has always been my vision to fully accessorise the woman and fragrance is an integral part of the modern wardrobe,” she says. “Through our association with Inter Parfums, I look forward to bringing this important aspect of my vision to life.”
