Nanocare 10GF is a new anti-ageing skin cream from Japan's Favorina Holdings Co Ltd, and is said to contain ten Growth Factor proteins, such as Epidermal Growth Factor (EGF). EGF stimulates cell growth, healing, proliferation, and differentiation. It plays a key role in promoting skin regeneration. EGF is found in many human tissues and earned its discoverers a Nobel Prize for medicine in 1986.

Nanocare 10GF also contains molecules of collagen and hyaluronic acid of many different sizes. The larger molecules remain on the surface of the skin while the small ones are said to penetrate deep within. This provides the cream with highly effective moisturising properties and enables the skin to retain its original flexibility. The formulation is also designed to maximise the anti-oxidant power of the ingredients.

Main users are expected to be women in their 30s – the age when women first begin to worry about skin ageing, says the company.

The cream will retail for ¥21,000 for a tube of 30gm and be sold via mail order. Sales of ¥600m are expected in the first year.

Favorina specialises in mail order cosmetics and is based in Fukuoka City. Total sales in the year ending March 2012 were ¥1.42bn.
