Focusing on texture and quiet elegance, this scent comes with its own atmosphere. At In-Cosmetics Global 2026, this idea comes to life with the concept “Between The Lines”, the latest fragrance concept to be presented by fragrance house Iberchem. Visitors are invited to discover ink as more than just a fragrance, but as a sensory and thoughtful experience.
In an era obsessed with storytelling, ink symbolises creativity and intellect. Once confined to libraries, tattoo studios or the quiet intimacy of handwritten letters, the scent of ink has emerged as one of niche perfumery’s most intriguing new languages.
Dark, mineral, cool, and slightly metallic, ink reflects a shift away from sweetness and excess toward something more subtle and pure. As consumers increasingly seek personality over prettiness, ink offers a new narrative in which the skin serves as paper.
“Ink is not a single note, but rather a multifaceted accord,” explains Luz Vaquero, Head Perfumer at Iberchem. “It is built through contrasts: cool mineral facets, dry woods, smoky and resinous touches, and with a metallic reverberation.
The result is an accord that feels powerful and intimate at the same time, like the smell of freshly printed pages or an old library where every book carries a memory. Ink represents a new neutral that is versatile, genderless, and quietly strong.”
The INK collection will be displayed in a stand designed to look like a bookstore, in line with the theme of writing. Books and other decorative objects, as well as a coffee bar, will let visitors experience the fragrances not only to smell but also to read. “With INK, we wanted to do more than present a trend; we wanted to introduce a new olfactive family and a new way to think about fragrance,” says Guillaume Audy, Communications Director at Iberchem. “Ink is the black outfit of perfumery: timeless and versatile without limiting creativity.”
Alongside INK, Iberchem will present a second fragrance collection at the stand’s coffee bar, inspired by Latte notes. This collection is soft, milky, and comforting, evoking the creaminess of milk in coffee and offering a gentle contrast to the darker ink fragrances. Together, these two collections show Iberchem’s view of perfumery as a blend of culture, emotion, and design, where the intangible comes to life.
