Induchem was praised by the entire cosmetic industry at in-cosmetics 2014 in Hamburg for its new ingredient, Redensyl, the first cosmetic alternative to hair transplantation surgery.

The in-cosmetics' Innovation Zone Best Ingredient Award honors the development of novel actives or functional ingredients that successfully combine scientific superiority, formulation benefits for manufacturers and efficacy for consumers when compared to other products currently available on the market.

Over 77 ingredients from leading suppliers were judged this year by a panel of industry experts including:

  • Angela Eppler PhD, senior R&D scientist at Pfizer Consumer Healthcare
  • Dr Jianzhong Yang, PhD, president of Beauty & Health Innovation Co., Ltd.
  • Senior scientist at Belcorp, John Jiménez and President and Owner of Elysee Scientific & Cosmetics
  • Linda R Marshall

The judges awarded the Silver prize to Induchem for its scientific innovation, the use of green chemistry and the demonstrated efficacy of the ingredient that offers real benefits in formulation: Redensyl

Redensyl is the newest breakthrough against hair loss and the best alternative to hair transplantation. It is the first hair care cosmetic active ingredient based on regenerative medicine researches. Redensyl is targeting the hair follicle stem cells to reactivate their division and stimulate their initiation of the anagen phase. It contains two patented molecules from induchem companies: DHQG and EGCG2. Redensyl gives almost two times superior scores than the worldwide reference Minoxidil, boosting the hair growth.

The clinical assessment on volunteers suffering from androgenic alopecia gave outstanding results. In less than 3 months, 85% of the volunteers had significant and visible hair growth, with +9% of new growing hair and -17% of falling hair, enabling up to +28,200 new hairs in 84 days.

Redensyl is the first cosmetic active giving better results than one full procedure of hair transplant surgery.

“We are serial innovators in active ingredients!" said Fabrice Lefèvre, Global Scientific Marketing Manager, Induchem. "The field of applied research on human stem cells is very young, but our R&D has been investigating this area over the past years to create Redensyl. This product combines two patented molecules to reactivate the hair growth by activating hair follicle stems cells. This latest hair care innovation follows our recent ones: the Gold awarded "needle-free" collagen and elastin filler Neodermyl, the world-renowned "third generation hyaluronic acid" NovHyal Biotech G, and recently the new generation of exfoliating technology: Biogomm'age. We are honored that the cosmetic community has recognized once again our company's innovation and science with this prestigious award. The year 2014 thus far has been a very rewarding year and we look forward to the future”.
