British beauty brand Illamasqua is set to grow its presence in North America this month. The brand, which is already sold in the region via Sephora stores, will extend into Bloomingdale’s in the US and Hudson’s Bay in Canada by the end of August.
“Partnering with retailers as prestigious and as big as Bloomingdale’s and Hudson’s Bay is both momentous and humbling for Illamasqua. It will not only transform our presence in North America but will have positive ripple effects across the globe, fuelling our already recording breaking growth as an independent British brand,” said Julian Kynaston, Illamasqua Founder and Chairman.
Michael Gould, Chairman and CEO of Bloomingdale’s, added: “We are pleased to be the exclusive US department store launch partner to Illamasqua this fall. The theatrical positioning of the brand, paired with their creativity, passion and fun-loving nature make it a perfect fit for Bloomingdale's and we know our customers are going to respond well to this new and unique cosmetic resource”.
Illamasqua was founded by Julian Kynaston in 2008. Since then, the brand has taken on Joe Corre, co-founder of lingerie brand Agent Provocateur as joint MD and expanded its global presence to Australia, Asia, the Middle East and selected markets in Europe including Croatia, Germany, and Slovenia.
