LMR, an International Flavors & Fragrances (IFF) company, has received the ISO 14001 certification for its efforts towards minimising the negative effects its operations have on the environment.
The company, previously known as Laboratoire Monique Rémy, cites sustainability as one of its key operating principals. LMR already holds two International Organisation for Standardization certifications – ISO 9002 for products and ISO 9001 for service – and the company sees this latest addition as a manifestation of its long-term commitment to environmental responsibility and as part of a wider implementation of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).
“Our aspiration is to establish a corporate governance system, which encompasses product quality, service quality, environmental respect, employees’ health and safety rules and corporate social responsibility. This guided LMR towards ISO 14000 certification to help evaluate then minimise its impact on the environment,” comments Bernard Toulemonde, general manager of LMR.
